Lifestyle Lifeskills: Take Your Workout Outside

Being outside has numerous benefits for health and wellbeing. The fresh air combats the fatigue that builds up from days spent staring at a screen inside.  As little as 5 minutes of exposure to natural light outside will normalize your circadian rhythm, helping to reduce cravings and maybe even shed pounds. If you're working out on natural terrain, such as sand or grass, you will challenge different muscles and burn more calories than you would if you were to exercise on a stable surface. Being outside sometimes for workouts keeps me motivated and energized. I like to change up my scenery and connect with the elements- connecting with nature makes me feel more connected to my body for quicker results. Remember to take your Abs and Fitness Design Deck with you for a great workout anywhere.
